Bovis Kyle attorney, Erin Stone, won a decision on an appeal by the opposing party in a divorce case based on opposing party's claim that the marital estate was inequitably allocated between the parties, wherein the Court awarded Bovis Kyle's client approximately 89% of the marital estate. The Georgia Supreme Court affirmed the trial court's allocation. The trial court allocation of the marital estate was mostly due to opposing party's law school debt in the amount of $130,000.00. The Trial Court agreed with Erin Stone's argument that opposing party should be solely responsible for her student loan debt since she "found playmates at the law school with [whom] she apparently had affairs".
